A 21ST CENTURY TOOL FOR 21ST CENTURY SKILLS for Virtual Learning

This session session on possibilities related to using Virtual Reality (VL) for

the purpose of language learning. VL tears down the walls of the classroom

and immerses its user within a world that looks, sounds and feels as real as it

gets without actually being there. Through live demonstrations, participants

will be able to identify the benefits and possibilities that VL brings to the

classroom of the 21st century. Attendees will take part in a series of tasks that

will emphasize the effectiveness of VL for the promotion of collaboration and

critical thinking within an ELT context.
