Description

Classroom management, as defined by Scrivener (2010 & 2014), is the collection of techniques and skills a teacher should possess to retain successful academic achievement among students through maximizing their focus, attention, organization, commitment, academic integrity, and other positive skills which promote effective learning experience. Yet, he or she ought to minimize any factor that may impede the learning process, such as distraction, distributive behavior, etc.

However, teachers can make use of relevant educational technology to support their rapport and maintain active classroom management - the theme of this course.

Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply relevant EdTech to promote academic integrity and self-discipline before the class starts to avoid undesirable behavior during class time;

  2. Assist their in-class management practices with tech tools where all students can be observed achieving the 4Cs: create, communicate, critically think and collaborate efficiently;

  3. Support teachers seamlessly in managing after-class tasks as they can supervise their performance and guide them beyond the four walls;

  4. Promote the 21st-century skills;

  5. Create an effective blended learning environment.

Participants will not only be exposed to relevant tech tools but also hands-on practice is to provide.
